John T. “JT” Rowell, CAL, AARE, ATS, GPPA, an accomplished professional with a multitude of qualifications, brings over two decades of expertise to the real estate and auction industry. He has been an integral part of Rowell Auctions, Inc. since 2001 and currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer. As a fourth-generation member of the Rowell family involved in real estate, Mr. Rowell has a deep-rooted passion for the profession.
 
Mr. Rowell embarked on his career journey by graduating from the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering in 2001, followed by completing the Barney Fletcher School of Real Estate in 2005. His responsibilities encompass a broad spectrum of roles and tasks within the organization.
 
Among his many responsibilities, Mr. Rowell is entrusted with the procurement of auction contracts for both real and personal property. He oversees the pre-auction process, which includes intricate tasks such as conducting a chain of title research, analyzing tax values, and assessing zoning implications. Furthermore, he plays a pivotal role in coordinating marketing initiatives, which include organizing bidder seminars, and open houses, and ensuring thorough preparation.
 
Mr. Rowells expertise extends to collaborating directly with sellers and assisting Auction Coordinators in determining the most suitable method of sale while forecasting anticipated auction outcomes. He manages contracts and facilitates seamless settlements from auction day through to the closing and final settlement phases. Additionally, he is responsible for procuring appraisal agreements and conducting onsite inspections to determine asset values using various valuation approaches. His analysis also includes evaluating market influences affecting property values, and he prepares comprehensive written appraisal reports, adhering to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice set forth by the Appraisal Foundation.
 
Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Rowell is an active member of several notable associations, including the Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and National Auctioneers Association. He has dedicated his time and expertise to various leadership positions within the Georgia Auctioneers Association, having served in every office.
 
John T. Rowell holds licenses as both an auctioneer and a real estate broker in multiple states, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.
 
He resides in Moultrie, Georgia, with his beloved wife, Cindy, and is the proud parent of two children, Maycie and Thomas.
