About Rebecca Bales
Rebecca traded her beloved mountains of East Tennessee for a life in the city years ago (has great tips for traveling in Knoxville/Gatlinburg/Asheville NC). She also loves the Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica and has plenty of insight into that area, working in a bit of ?pura vida? in Santa Teresa when she can. Rebecca has worked for Brooklyn Bridge Realty for 10 years? since her own quest for the ?perfect? apartment lured her out of the world of fine art, (gallery management) and into real estate. Rebecca?s background as a luxury property manager, as well as her experience in the world of visual arts, gives her an excellent sense of aesthetics. Mother to 2 sons- one middle school age, the other a pre-schooler, understanding the needs of a family come naturally, and she can help people relocating settle in quickly. Over the years she?s lived in Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, Boerum Hill, and Park Slope- loves to cook (and eat!), and knows all the great spots for shopping and dining. Rebecca does both rentals and sales, but her favorite part of being a realtor is townhouses. She loves the ?project? house that takes someone with vision and a sense of adventure to go for! She has bought and renovated 3 terribly ugly houses herself, and loves the challenge and the process of bringing a space back to life. She also has a keen ability to work with people who have a specific vision and can narrow down a house search quickly for someone who wants a space with style and character, that is move in ready- without being a vanilla box renovation. Rebecca works in a low key, polite, and completely discrete fashion too. She deeply respects the privacy of her clients; and with 10 yrs in the business has had many apartment sales, sold numerous buildings and townhouses, and done a ridiculous number of rentals, but chooses not to share addresses publicly for any of them.
