About Julie S. Masson
A Hamptons resident for nearly 20 years, Julie initially came out East to spend summers while attending graduate school in New York City. She felt a strong bond to the area having grown up in coastal Massachusetts, and found her stays continually grew longer until she made the ultimate decision to make the East End her home. Her affinity for the industry has deep roots. She grew up in a family full of interior design junkies, and also developed a deep appreciation for architecture throughout her time studying fine art. After obtaining her Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture from Parsons School of Design, Julie embarked upon her real estate career in 2006. Julie's background in sculpture has been a great aid in assisting both sellers and landlords in staging their properties, as well as in helping buyers imagine the transformative potential of a space that may not, at first look, seem to suit their needs. Her personal experience with property renovation has also been a key component as she understands the details of construction, design and cost. Julie's focus has consistently been on taking the stress out of buying or selling a property; she is hands-on, humorous, and has a relaxed, yet thoroughly professional approach to the process. She has experience with a very diverse selection of properties: from finding the ultimate choice to invest/flip, the perfect match for the first time buyer, luxury weekend homes, coveted waterfront, and everything in between. Her broad knowledge of the area's diverse inventory and how to match it with each customer's needs is one of the many reasons she has been sought out by discerning clients and has built a solid referral base. She has consistently proven her ability to guide her customers to the perfect property as well as bring an attractive selling price to her clients and then skillfully negotiate and close their transaction. "Every home is different," she says. The personalities of clients and customers, and the issues around a house come together in different ways in every transaction. It's a whole new experience every time, and she thrives on the variety. In addition to Julie's passion for art, she enjoys travel, cooking, and is known to throw impromptu dinner parties for friends. She is passionate about environmental causes and preserving the natural beauty of the East End. She and her husband and young daughter reside in Sag Harbor.
