Why should you choose me to sell or purchase your house? Real estate agents are a dime a dozen and everyone knows someone in real estate. I am sure you know someone who knows someone if you don't know one directly. The difference between just hiring any old real estate agent and hiring a professional is going to be the difference in the experience that you will have when selling your property or buying one. Fifteen years in this industry makes me an expert and informed as I have seen the market climb to ridiculous prices for small shacks only to plummet into smithereens. I am a real estate professional that kept her business moving as other real estate agents were plucked out of the industry because of the 2008 housing bubble burst that slapped everyone in the face. I have helped my clients pick up the pieces of a stressful situation of an upside down mortgage. I guided them through challenging short sales while other real estate agents could not run fast enough from them. Why would non-superstar real estate agents run you ask? Because it can be too much for the weak and the money might never come. I learned about Short Sales because it was to help the sleepless homeowners who had no idea how to get out of the financial mess they were in. It was necessary. I helped property owners one house at a time. Not too far in the past were the homes that were involved and destroyed by Hurricane Sandy and I, too, helped in the negotiations between those who were not able to renovate their houses and the investors who had the means to repair it back to a livable state. I was around and meeting with those devastated by the hurricane even when most of New York was back to normal. Seeing those neighborhoods from Staten Island to the Rockaways and parts of Long Island was heart wrenching and I helped my clients through that. Currently, in the past 3 years there has been a significant shift where profit driven international investors are saturating the NY market and I have been able to experience this and work it. I have worked with investors who paid in cash and closed immediately. The experience with seasoned investors is crucial for distressed homes that need revitalization. In addition to all my professional experience, I make sure I continue to take classes through the Long Island Board of Realtors and the New York State of Realtors. Many may take classes to fulfill the requirement for continuing education, however, I take more than the required hours because I want to know about the changes in the market, revisions of real estate laws, marketing, changes to the multiple listing service, new real estate technology, etc. Knowing the importance of efficient forecasting is imperative so that I can have vital insight on the real estate market. With forecasting I can better counsel my clients to make an educated decision on their real estate transaction.
