About Peter Acocella
Peter Acocella founded Acocella and Company in 1985 to provide full relocation services for the residential real estate needs of major corporations in the New York metropolitan area. The company, inarguably the largest provider of its kind in Manhattan, was integral in the development of Battery Park City, serving as a conduit between Wall Street and the new condominium and rental properties across West Street. Mr Acocella brings that wealth of experience to his position as Managing Director of the Commercial Division at Keller Williams NYC. ?Keller Williams is a model for our industry now and in the future. The moribund structure of most companies like ours does not allow for growth, reach and creativity. Keller does: a breath of fresh air.?Mr Acocella is a fixture on the investment property scene, both in New York, domestically and internationally. ?I am intrigued by trophy properties, both commercial and residential with a particular penchant for buying and selling hotels: my passion.??As a middle child, I was always negotiating between two immovable forces?in that case siblings. The same skill and diplomacy is required to successfully put together buyers and sellers?.on a large scale?in our business. ? A graduate of the Young People's Institute, a small group of gifted students associated with New York University, Peter began a college program at the age of 11, completing a course of study equivalent to a B.A. in Political Science by age 13. His further education includes studying at Manhattanville College where he successfully delivered a graduate thesis in English Literature on the short works of D.H. Lawrence. Peter is a classical pianist who has performed at such venues as Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall and throughout Europe. He holds a certificate from the Istituto Nicola Vacaj music conservatory in Tolentino, Italy, and considers among his most important teachers Joseph Villa, David Bradshaw, and Evelyne Crochet, perhaps the greatest Bach pianist of her time. On weekends, Peter can be found in Sag Harbor where he restored the oldest home in that very historic village. ?Actually the house belongs to my pug Lucca who allows me to visit.?
