About Tyler Drown
Tyler Drown is a successful businessman and entrepreneur whose unrelenting thirst for knowledge and explorative nature led him on a rewarding journey around the world. His experience, education, and interests have lead him from a variety of industries and fields of study including finance, architecture and engineering, hospitality, and marketing to leadership positions at the Drexel Smart House, a sustainable design and technology incubator at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he graduated with a degree in International Business & Entrepreneurship and a minor in World History & Politics. Tyler has lived and worked in Dublin, Ireland; Izmir, Turkey; Amman, Jordan; New York City, and Philadelphia, in a variety of industries and companies. He?s worked in a wide range of positions, including a European Hedge Fund, a sponsor grantee for USAID at a Business Process Outsourcing firm, a Wealth Management firm, a Foreign Trade Zone focused on manufacturing in the aerospace and automotive industry, an education tech start-up, an environmental testing and consulting company, and positions high-end food service and luxury hospitality. After a stint in finance on Wall Street, Tyler joined up with another entrepreneur, co-founding a Williamsburg-based start-up aimed at creating ?the OK Cupid of roommate matching? that they called Roomiva. While Roomiva never took off as planned, its failure taught Tyler invaluable business lessons and strengthened his resolve for success. As a resident of Brooklyn, Tyler?s passion for the borough is well known throughout the residential real estate brokerage community. His knowledge of Brooklyn is second to none from both historical and business perspectives. Tyler had brokered real estate transactions from Williamsburg to the Upper East Side, East Village, Cobble Hill, Bushwick, Bed-Stuy, Greenpoint, Crown Heights, Prospect Heights, and the Columbia Street Waterfront District. Approximately half of his business in Manhattan and half is in North Brooklyn and ?Brownstone Brooklyn?. Most of his clients are by referral and collaborations with other real estate professionals that entrust their clients and reputation with Tyler?s steady hand. Tyler?s uniquely well-versed approach to the housing market sets him apart from competitors and his level of excellent customer service has earned him his stellar reputation. Service and care are paramount, and his training and experience in high-end hospitality enable him to give his clients the white-glove treatment from start to finish. He possesses an invaluable mastery of the many facets of real property and his clients benefit during the course of each transaction. Tyler is a member of Park Avenue Property Group, a brokerage which joined Keller Williams NYC in December 2011. Park Avenue Property Group is a part of Park Avenue Venture Group, Ltd., a family of companies that also include Park Avenue Asset Management, Park Avenue Entertainment Group, The Universal Investment Trust, and Park Avenue Investment Advisors, LLC. As a member of such a diverse company, it allows Tyler to offer a wide range of services to offer to clients and investors. Working with team members in commercial, retail, office, residential, and suburban real estate, PAPG can handle any kind of client, no matter how big or small. Access to capital, investors, and expertise enable PAPG to grow its portfolio of buildings and partner with in-house and outside developers and investors on various projects throughout the city, the country, and the globe. Tyler is an avid sailor, long distance runner, and bicyclist, all of which require tremendous concentration and skill and has translated into a discipline that he carries into his business life. He is heavily involved in charities, volunteering and raising money and awareness for Parkinsons Research, Hurricane Sandy Relief, his alma mater intercollegiate sailing team, and PALS Programs?an all-volunteer non-profit for young adults with Down syndrome that operates camps and programs, and empowers them to gain independence and build lasting friendships. He has been involved from its founding in 2004 as Camp PALS and since the inception of its predecessor organization, PALS USA. Tyler is also the Vice President of Events for KW Cares, the charitable arm of Keller Williams NYC.
