He attended college at Muhlenburg in Allentown Pennsylvania and was a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. Fulfilling his civic duties he enlisted and studied nuclear engineering in the U.S. Navy. He later studied acting at H.B. Studious in the West Village.
