About Jay Cassels, ALC
Since 2012, Jay has been involved in the development, marketing, and sale of turn-key hunting properties. He holds the unique position of being the sole land certification inspector in the state of Oklahoma for the National Deer Association (NDA). Jay presently owns and manages a Legacy-designated property, the highest certified for quality deer management by the NDA. With an 8-year tenure as a Green Beret in the United States Army Special Forces, Jay brings a wealth of experience to his role. As a passionate outdoorsman, Jays distinct expertise and personal background ensure unparalleled guidance and service, whether youre looking to buy or sell. Jay earned a bachelors degree in management information systems from Lamar University and a master’s degree in telecommunications management from Oklahoma State University. Actively engaged with the National Deer Association, he holds various roles, including lifetime member, land certification inspector, certified deer steward I and II, legacy-designated property owner, and president of the Eastern Oklahoma branch. Jay is also a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8789, a distributor for Texas Hunters Products, and an Accredited Land Consultant recognized by the Realtors Land Institute. Currently residing in Checotah, Oklahoma, Jay, when not working, enjoys hunting, managing his property, and spending quality time with his family.
