10.01 acres of timber and wildlife

This is a beautiful 10.01 acre tract that is part of the Indian Springs Development. The property is covered in Oak Brush and the terrain is rolling which offers some great views. There is a drainage that runs through the property and appears that if would be a good spot to build a pond. The wildlife in this area is plentiful and includes whitetail deer, feral hogs, and more. Electricity is located along the private road that access the property. Also, the developers have committed to running fiber optic to the property. The property is located just south of the small community of Indian Gap, TX. The town of Hamilton is approximately 20 miles east and Goldthwaite is approximately 24 miles south. The small community of Priddy, TX is approximately 7 miles west (Priddy has the closest gas station). This area is primarily a farming and ranching community. Property is Ag Exempt and there are some light deed restrictions... See link to review deed restrictions A little history... Indian Gap is an unincorporated community located between two hills in western Hamilton County in Central Texas. Comanche Indians would use these hills to begin their raids, inspiring the name of the community. The community was settled in 1877. Hawley and Esther Gerrells were early settlers who opened a post office in their home in 1879. At various times their home served as a store, church, school and social center. H.A. Shipman bought the townsite and farmed it for several years. In 1889, he took over Gerrells' store and post office, and in 1892 he sold town lots. At one point, Indian Gap had a bank, a hotel, 3 stores, a blacksmith shop, a gin, a school, churches, and a weekly newspaper, The Arrow. The school closed about 1959, followed by the post office in 1972. Contact us for your private showing and to answer anymore questions.
